Say hello to the future of the future

After watching an episode of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, I get excited about what's in store for the future of mankind:

sexy pants with comfort-stretch waistband

tight satin jumpsuits with the zippers that go all the way down to there

Planets ruled by drag queens and femmebots

Stuttering robots

Swarathy bird men

Misanthropic vacuums

Space dwarf pirates

Sweet rides

This show did foretell the future in an eerie way. I can't tell you the last time I spent a day without seeing one of these things.

Every Halloween I dressed up as a space dwarf pirate. Except that one year when dad got drunk and made us all go to bed before dark. No trick or treating that year.

Okay, okay, that was bullshit. What are SPACE DWARF PIRATES?!! They took three awesome things and combined them into one super awesome thing!?! My dreams just keep coming true!

When I was younger I was totally looking forward to artificial vaginas with pleasant personalities.

While I currently don't regret that we have not yet produced this technology, I think there's still a need.

Is it just me, or are the shiny jumpsuits hot?

I wonder if my satin jumpsuit makes my ass look that bony?

I'm thinking, not...

I used to love that show. But I hope it can't tell the future. It's hard enough for women now. I can't imagine the eating disorders that would arise from the pressure of having to fit into those tight satin jumpsuits.

I think I'd do everyone pictured those photos. The Swarthy Bird-Man gets it twice.

I watched that regularly as a kid. I think it was on every day at some point. But, my all-time fave was "Good Times."

Man, I forgot how hot those jumpsuits were...

Thank you so much for reminding me of this seminal television program. Or programme.
