summer break

While other blogs may attempt to profess their awesomeness by writing long, boring posts about how awesome they think they are, we choose to cut the crap and work all night long to bring you sparkling fresh media for your insatiable appetites.

Because everything I do... I do it for you.

This is a TV spot for Summer Break, a drum & bass music festival based in Deva, Romania, in the heartland of Transylvania, from July 10-12. And why would I bother to promote an event in Eastern Europe? Because I'm all about the international lovin', and if you're not part of the party, you're part of the problem.

God I am so tired of people who go on and on about their awesomeness. Seriously, those nutjobs can go to hell, for all I care.

This is quality posting.

I was a little disappointed you didn't link to me when you wrote "long boring posts about how awesome they think they are."

On that opening credits part, is there a guy (on the lower left) named "anal dudu"? Man, those crazy Romanians...

Dr Zibbs: leave room for dessert!

grant miller: I don't like sending people to your site because they never come back.

BSUWG: hahaha! Yeah, Romanians are crazy, but that's actually 2 artists: a band called PNAL (Pay Now Argue Later), and a guy named DJ Dudu. "Dudu" is a common nickname there - it's usually short for Eduardo or Alexandru.

Nice. If I was in Romania while that was on, I'd postpone whatever vampire killing I was doing and go.

What if I'm not boasting about how awesome I am, but proving my case about how awesome I am?

katrocket said...

imaginary reviewer: haha! No need to postpone! I'm sure that vampires will be representin' fo-shizzle.

pistols: I've been reading your blog for years and you've proven many many things, few of which could be considered "awesome". But please keep trying, because it's really fun to watch.

I never profess, but I will confess, if the alternative is some kind of suffering, like having to watch Larry King Live, that I do indeed have an insatiable appetite for you.

(Tell the truth, did you blush a little and go, like, "o la la, c'est un petit fois gras? Or something like that?)

A Translyvanian music festival? Is it hosted by Count Von Count? Will Vampire Weekend be playing? Will it suck, literally?

bert: Ooh la la! Je suis très honoré! When I started this blog, I had a dream of being slightly more interesting than Larry King Live, and today my ship came in. I hope it has an open bar and a decent buffet.

beckeye: yes, no, no, and I hope so.

"Writing long, boring posts about how awesome they think they are...."

Hey, that shit is hard! I just make it look easy.

hazee: te iubesc! Don't pay any attention to the Americans, they're drunk on ignorance, and just having fun. I went to TMbase in 2005 and it was the best time - Summer Break is gonna be awesome. I can't make it to Deva this time, so please make some videos and post them for us! Multumesc prieten!

James: you don't write long, boring posts about how great you think you are. You write long, boring posts about how great you think Obama is. That's actually worse, but I still think you're awesome.

Well I was sitting here trying to come up with something clever to say regarding the post, but then I read all the comments and now all I got is "HA HA".

I'm really glad you and your other readers are funnier than me, it just takes a lot of pressure off my shoulders.
