Stereoscope

Nuit Blanche took place here on Saturday night, and this was my favourite: Project Blinkenlights' Stereoscope exhibit at Toronto City Hall.

Project Blinkenlights are digital performance artists (Tim Pritlove and Thomas Fiedler) from Berlin, Germany. More project info here.

In addition to the visuals in this clip, they rigged up gigantic classic arcade games of Pong and Space Invaders that any two people can play using their regular cellphones. Pretty amazing stuff!

Damn, I wish I'd seen that. There wasn't as much around my area as there was last year, which was disappointing. My highlight was finding myself sitting next to a zombie in a jazz concert in a University building at 3:00am.

That's really cool. And also, how were you able to get th Youtube video so large on you page?

Imaginary Reviewer: that's a pretty awesome highlight! Jazz concerts are the best places to find zombies.

the Good Doctor: You just change the width and height numbers in the embed code. There's two places - one at the beginning of the code and one near the end. You can make it any size you want, just keep the same proportions. Here's mine:
first part: object height="469" width="580"
second part: allowfullscreen="true" width="580" height="469"

As long as science can be described as "lite brite-esque," I will support it.

Also, can you change the width and length numbers on the embed code of my junk?

Damn! Pistols always beats me to the junk comment!

Hey, I just said beat and junk together, so I'm good...

I'll just stick to the water show at the Billagio in Vegas. People move a lot slower here in America than in Toronto. (I hope for your sake not everything moves (and ends) so quickly there.)

I was too sick that night but I'm sorry I missed seeing that. Thanks for posting the video clip!
