hope you get your groove back
a phone conversation with my brother last night >
Katrocket: So how are the renovations coming along?
Mattrocket: Well, not good. I'm sorta laid up at the moment.
Katrocket: Why? What happened?
Mattrocket: I was hauling a stack of ceramic tiles off the truck, and I lost my grip and dropped it on my foot. I think I broke a couple of toes. They've gone black.
Katrocket: Uh oh. You know what that means...
Mattrocket: No. What?
Katrocket: They'll never go back.

Hahahaha!
I have nothing witty to say in response, but damn that made me laugh!
Pffft! That's definitely a keeper! Reminds me of the best thing I ever said, during a discussion on home improvement:
Future Father-In-Law: ...And for that we'll probably have to use the reciprocating saw.
Future Mrs Imaginary Reviewer: I hate the reciprocating saw!
Me: It probably feels the same way.
From the blank stares I got, I think my comment went way above everyone's heads.
But does he like big butts and cannot lie?
Tony enjoys how you used your bros crippling accident to make a funny. Come give me sugar, honey.
This is when my atheist stance is most tested, because what other reason, the existence of a Ghawd, can explain that kind of a set up?
TIR, yours was just as funny, but on a different level, although Kat's sexual level can do no wrong.
Kat's had a certain existential inevitability, while yours just came brilliantly out of fuckin' left field.
I am left standing here, weeping, as I lament not being able to impregnate either one of you. Or as Kurt Vonnegut would say, "...so it goes..."
I wish my sibling or siblings would have appropriately witty responses when I injure myself, since that's all I've got to offer them.
Classic! Also Skyler's Dad's comment is great too.
Does it match his bag?
I think I love you.
Thanks for the morning laugh! The rest of the toes are thinking... "there goes the neighborhood."
The value of his big toe just dropped significantly.
That is fantastic!
